About Neil

Neil Stewart is your nominated candidate for the constituency of Lakeside in rural Manitoba.
​
Neil attained a B.A.(Political Science) from the University of Winnipeg in 1980. His resume includes 35 years' experience with Canada Border Services Management, where he also served as a Union Representative. Neil was a Deputy Reeve in the Rural Municipality of Piney, Manitoba, has experience as a small business owner, and is an avid community volunteer.

He believes the local and global political climate has become too polarized, and believes the Manitoba Liberal Party provides Manitobans with the best opportunity to work collectively towards solving our current and future challenges.

Neil looks forward to consulting with residents to find solutions to areas of common concern that have been ignored for decades. He would like to see improvements to health care services, strategic planning to address the looming seniors housing home care crisis, and climate change initiatives that are both attainable and affordable.
